How does it work?

We offer two services; The One Shot and The Weekly Campaign. All of our sessions are conducted over Zoom.

The One-Shot: a single event

This workshop-style event starts with a general overview of D&D’s rules and our goals with the activity. Employees then select their characters and break out into smaller groups for games. Once done, we come back together in a larger group for a short recap of everyone’s experiences. This can be a single-day event or broken up into smaller chunks of time over 2-3 days. This is also a great way to gauge interest in a weekly campaign.

The Weekly Campaign: an ongoing experience

This is an ongoing, regular weekly game. Employees log in for two hours at the same time each week, either after hours or on an extended weekly lunch. Sessions are kind of like episodes in a TV series, where at the start we quickly recap the previous game and then pick up where we left off. These tell a longer story that the employees can engage with deeper over time. Besides being a lot of fun, employees are able to explore a number of different themes and objectives during the course of this evergreen campaign.

The experience

This isn’t just another talking head on a Zoom call.

We use Open Broadcasting Software to toggle players between fantasy art and hand painted miniature sets that immerse our players in the storytelling. Music, sound effects, and a variety of technical surprises create a truly premium online experience. We’ve been told it “feels more like an interactive Twitch Stream” than a regular Zoom call. We have set out to make the best D&D experience online, period.

New players welcome

Each service (One Shot or Weekly Campaign) includes one-on-one introductory meetings for new players who want a lesson on the rules before joining the game. These last up to an hour over Zoom, where we will review the basics of how to play and make a character. Any employee participating in the program for any amount of time is eligible for this introductory meeting.
